And on the opposite wall we stacked several cabinets for a "China Hutch" effect with a more built in look.
We also added an island (partially seen in above photo)
A few details..
I love it! That sink is to die for and the china hutch had me at hello. This is definitely a kitchen that inspires!
ReplyDeleteWow what a transformation!!! Did you guys do this all yourselves? I'm impressed...I wish I could rip apart my retro 70's rental kitchen.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so nice! How has it been, living without upper cabinets? I fear I'm not organized enough to ever pull this off. But it looks so clean and open!
ReplyDeleteAfter living with it for over 6 months, I LOVE not having upper cabinets!
ReplyDeleteIt makes the whole kitchen seem alot more open and airy.
I would deff recommend doing a hanging or wall pot rack as I did, because that saves alot of space in your lower cabinets.
Another key is having a seperate pantry area, no food or perishables are stored in any of my cabinets.
I have tons more space that the original kitchen because of the new layout. I even have one cabinet that is empty!
