Kitchen Reno - Part One

When we moved into our house, this is what our kitchen looked like...

I decided it could be worse. At least the square footage was there. Started making plans for a new kitchen, even though I knew we had many things to do with our little fixer upper before the kitchen made it anywhere near the top of the list.. This was May 2009.

Well, fast forward five months... On October 27th, 2009 I looked under my sink and this is what I found...

 Yes, the drain pipe for our kitchen sink had literally deteriorated..... guess that means its time for a new kitchen!! My hubby wanted to just tear out the sink cabinet and replace that one, but I had bigger plans. Much much bigger plans.
We had just recieved $3000 from Uncle Sam (Thank you new homebuyer credit!) and that became my kitchen budget. I was a happy girl.
So I dug out my sketches and ideas for the kitchen (I didn't have to dig too far, they were page one in my notebook!) and I got to work!
